Clover Bend plot
Bill has been a police officer in Los Angeles for many years and once a year he goes camping with his wife Beth and their two children. Also this year he prefers a weekend in the woods to a trip to San Francisco. The family does not get that far, however: three criminals take Beth hostage in a grocery store. Several shots are fired and the woman is fatally injured. Bill can fire back and he even hits one of the robbers. After his wife's funeral, Bill decides to trade city life for his hometown of Clover Bend. But the past continues to haunt him.
