Chayka plot
The story takes place on Sorin's estate. Sorin's sister Arkadina, a famous actress, comes there to spend the summer with her lover Trigorin, a famous writer. Her son, Kostya Trepljov, who has aspirations to become a playwright, has just written a 'modern' play for his neighbor girl Nina, who wants to become an actress. Trepljov is in love with Nina, who, however, falls in love with Trigorin.
