Chasing Dreams plot

Young Gavin has difficulties in adapting. Girls are not interested in him, his school results leave much to be desired, his father barely has time for him and his brother is confined to a wheelchair. Just when he's getting tired of it, he gains the confidence of the school's baseball coach, who recognizes a talent in him. Finally he can show what he's worth and he starts to get noticed by some talent hunters and the school's favorite girl. However, when he is on his way to an appointment with one of the scouts, he learns that his brother has died. As a result, Gavin ends up in a depression again.
