Cave plot

"Go deeper"

The three friends Charlotte, Adrian and Viktor met during their military service with the Norwegian 'Telemark Battalion' in Afghanistan between 2010 and 2012. Adrian and Charlotte became a couple and still work for the army. They are all interested in extreme sports and physical challenges and have been planning a descent into an unexplored cave deep in the mountains for a long time. A few years earlier, two foreign divers drowned while exploring part of the same cave. One of the divers was never found and the cave was closed to the public. The three friends defy fate and begin their journey with no backup.

Uninteresting adventure film about a group of unstable people who get stuck in a cave together. What could possibly go wrong? The course of Cave is easy to guess, but the plot description is many times more spectacular than you ultimately get. Director Henrik Martin Dahlsbakken chooses his locations beautifully and squeezes the necessary atmosphere out of them, but in the end you as a viewer are saddled with a lot of dark images in which a number of flashlights move back and forth spasmodically. The acting is not bad, but none of the cast members succeed in getting more out of their characters. Cave is therefore essentially a boring film with a painfully sensational twist. The final grade is accordingly.
