Canoa plot

"A town. Vested interests. 1968: a decisive year in the history of Mexico."

In 1968, a group of students from the University of Puebla travels for a hiking trip to San Miguel de Canoa, a small village in the mountains. Once there, a local priest immediately labels them as communist instigators and blasphemers fleeing the police, following the student demonstrations in Mexico City. The paranoid and fanatical priest gathers the villagers to lynch them. Based on a true story.
