While patrolling the streets of a major city's red light district, plainclothes cop Steve Mason enters 'Club 46'. 'Club 46' is a dockside bar owned by the criminal Eddie Morgan, who poses as a pianist. Annie, a former hostess at 'Club 46' and girlfriend of current hostess Jo, returns to the bar to tell Eddie he's ruined her life. Annie urges Jo to get Eddie arrested.
