Buisson Ardent plot

When John returns after a ten-year absence, his childhood sweetheart is Julie, engaged to Henri. But she still loves him and therefore breaks off the engagement. Mad with jealousy, John sets fire to their vacation home when he thinks both lovers are not there. But John is alone in the cabin and narrowly escapes death. So he leaves for Paris, following Julie.
