Borderline plot

Pete is a black man who is married to Adah. Adah has an extramarital affair with the white Thorne, who also has a relationship with Astrid, much to the indignation of the townspeople. When Thorne is responsible for the death of the maddened Astrid, it is wonderfully Pete who is evicted from the city in the name of the public interest and well-being.
