Berdel plot

Ömer and his wife live a simple but happy life with their 5 daughters. A sixth child is on the way and both wish for a son for a change. When his wife gives birth to another daughter, the distraught Ömer decides to marry a second wife. Not having enough money for the bridal box, he looks for a way out in one of the old traditions of the region: he offers one of his daughters to the father of his future (second) wife...
