Bends plot
The film is set along the Hong Kong-Shenzhen border. Anna, a wealthy housewife, and Fai, her driver, develop an unexpected friendship as they discuss the pressures of Hong Kong and the increasingly complex relationship between the city and mainland China. Fai tries to find a way to get his pregnant wife and young daughter across the border from Shenzhen to Hong Kong to give birth to their second child. Anna, on the other hand, struggles to maintain the facade of her ostentatious lifestyle after her husband's sudden disappearance during the financial turmoil.
