Autsajder plot
Franek is a 21-year-old art student in Katowice, Poland, in 1982. The country is under martial law in an attempt to silence all political opponents of communism. Franek prefers to be involved with art and his girlfriend than with politics. One day he stays with his girlfriend a little too long, so that after the curfew goes into effect, he still walks around the street. He is arrested and the paint stains on his clothes make him suspected of painting political slogans. Then the police also find a package with anti-communist pamphlets in his room.
