Ao Lua Ha Dong plot

Dan, a beautiful young woman and the hunchback Gu love each other. They are servants of two separate households in Ha Dong in Vietnam. For most of their lives they have suffered under the tyranny of their cruel masters. They get married and Gu gives Dan a wedding gift - his mother's precious white silk dress. They flee to the south and have four daughters. Despite the poverty they face, they are happy. But the horror of an impending war causes tragedy and threatens to tear their happiness apart.
