Another Planet plot

Cassandra Jones is a young woman from Toronto with a very active imagination and a unique overview of the world around her. Feeling trapped in her community by low income and the inability to communicate with her devout mother Mary and brother Patrick, a petty criminal, Cassandra decides to leave Toronto. She applies and is accepted into an exchange program between Quebec and West Africa. When she reaches her destination, a pig farm in Quebec, she meets Sylvie Leblanc, a woman in need of change, and her husband Luc Leblanc, a man afraid of change, and Abdoulaye Diallo, her African barter counterpart, a man who already regrets the decision to seek change. But because none of her expectations are fulfilled, Kassandra soon finds herself unhappy on the farm.
