Annie's Garden plot

Young writer Lisa Miller (Yancy Butler) travels across America and ends up in the remote village of Edsville, where she meets sweet waitress Annie Thomas (Charlotte Chatton). It's friendship at first sight and the lady decides to stick around for a while. Thus, she also comes into contact with Luke Thomas (Keith Coulouris), the waitress's tough brother, who is very concerned about his sister's well-being. A fragile love triangle develops between these three people that can only end in misery.
