Anchoress plot
"Ecstasy and orthodoxy in the 14th century!"
Sometime in the 14th century, young Christine Carpenter becomes so obsessed with the Virgin Mary that she voluntarily has herself locked up in a monastery and protects the people of the village as a local saint. One day, however, Christine's mother is accused of witchcraft, and Christine is forced to leave the monastery; an act for which she herself could also receive the death penalty.
