Anak plot
Josie (Vilma Santos) is forced to leave her family to earn a decent income. She ends up in Hong Kong for a job as a housekeeper. Her employer refuses to give her vacation and to deliver her mail. When she returns to Manila after ten years, it appears that the family has fallen apart in her absence. Her eldest daughter has gone astray, her son is in big trouble at school and the youngest daughter doesn't even know who she is. It turns out that it is not easy to restore the family bond.
