Amongst Barbarians plot

In Penang, Malaysia, a young Englishman is arrested on suspicion of drug possession. He was framed by another English boy who gave him the drugs. Both boys are sentenced to death. The parents of the framed boy travel to Malaysia with their daughter, but soon realize there is nothing they can do to save the boys' lives. During their futile attempts to influence the authorities, their racism is increasingly apparent.
