Among the Missing plot
Old lady Martha Abbott leaves her daughter's house after they have had a raging argument. Not much later, she is reported missing by her family. Martha strikes up a conversation with a charming young man she meets in the park. He and a friend offer her a ride to their house and a job as a cook. She accepts the offer, unaware that both men are in fact jewel thieves and want to use her for their shady business. However, Martha is a smart woman and soon suspects that something is not right.
