Almost Human plot

John Livingston is a conceited rich boy who owns a bloodhound named Pal. Pal meets Maggie Mutt, and Pal, a purebred, lures Maggie to the barn to get his way. Then he leaves for his palatial dog kennel on the Livingston estate. Meanwhile, Maggie is heartbroken. She discovers she is pregnant, and gives birth to a puppy she names Hank. Maggie tells Hank to find his "human." Hank goes to the park and meets a "human" named Mary Kelly, a homeless woman, who adopts him. Later at the park, Paul passes by with his "human," John. A child falls into the lake, and Paul and Hank work together to save her.
