Aldebaran plot

Corrado Valeri, naval officer and son of an admiral, has a frivolous wife. He is on leave and terribly jealous. This affects his military career. To avoid complications, he wants to retire, but the senior staff members offer him a very difficult mission as an alternative. The heroic behavior of his colleagues in a life-threatening situation makes him think, so that he also starts to think more highly of himself.
