A Sleeping Memory plot

The shame and suicide of her father drives Eleanore Marston from her comfortable existence to a life as a department store clerk in New York. There she meets the wealthy Powers Fiske, who offers her a life of luxury if she agrees to a brain operation that will rob her of her memory. Eleanore agrees, but after the operation Fiske is shocked to discover that he has robbed her of her individuality and that she has become cruel, selfish and ruthless.
