40-ci Qapi plot

Rustam, 14, lives with his mother in a small village; his father was murdered by the Russian mafia. He tries to provide for himself and that of his mother, without falling into illegal activities. But his big dream is to be part of a music group. The title of the film refers to a fairy tale from Azerbaijan, about a princess who has to be freed from a house with 40 doors; but no one can open the last door and so the contents of the room remain secret. The villagers also call their village 'the 40th door'.
