Zuiderzeewerken plot

Avant-garde impression of the closure of the Wieringermeer dyke in 1929. Joris Ivens follows the construction and closure of the Wieringen-Medemblik dyke. The last hole was closed on Monday 29 July 1929, Ivens recorded it. The heroic power of the worker is central to the film.
