"Papua New Guinea Gets Independence"

In 1975, after 100 years, the colonization of Papua New Guinea came to an end. A country with 3 million inhabitants, with 700 different languages, spread over hundreds of islands, suddenly became one nation. The country is preparing for democratic elections. This documentary shows the events of Independence Day that everyone is looking forward to in the coming festivities.
