Young Lions plot
Since the apartheid policy disappeared in South Africa, the country is superficially a healthy democracy and nothing stands in the way of development and prosperity. In the meantime, after two years of testifying before the Truth Commission, many people are well aware of the excesses and atrocities of apartheid. This film explores the consequences of those years of violence and oppression for the people who had to deal with it on a daily basis. The makers follow three young men who fought in the black struggle in the mid-1980s, when the popular uprising against the white regime was at its height. In that period they were part of the hard core of insurgents, the "young lions". The abominations they saw robbed them of their youth. Even though they survived the battle, they will carry the scars of those years in their hearts forever.
