"The story of Seattle's forgotten Soul and Funk scene of the 60s and 70s"

By 1972, Seattle's thriving soul scene was about to break through nationally. In 1975, however, the music style died a sudden, silent death and the scene was forgotten again by the rapidly changing city. In 2001, after the accidental discovery of a 45rpm record, a local DJ uncovers a rich past that has been up for grabs all along. Celebrities like Quincy Jones, Sir Mix-A-Lot and Ben Gibbard talk about Seattle's lost funk scene and the soul of yesteryear in this documentary.
