Weiße Raben - Alptraum Tschetschenien plot

The young Russian soldiers who saw the battlefield in Chechnya return as white ravens, scarred for life. White Ravens – Nightmare in Chechnya is a cinematic lament for the fate of naive teenagers who go to the front for lack of money or a thirst for adventure and return home disfigured. Using photos, text frames, a voice-over, a home video, images from Grozny, archive material and interviews, they gradually unravel the personal suffering that lies behind the hermetic glances and evasive remarks.
