We Went to Wonderland plot

Guo Xiaolu films her Chinese parents' visit to London, their first time abroad. She reports on her parents' trip to the West. Her father can no longer speak since an operation, and writes his observations on paper: 'The water is very nice in the West', 'The flowers on Marx's grave are long dead', 'Where is the population of Europe? ' As his wife watches the Houses of Parliament, he watches the clouds drift by. And later, when they travel to Rome and walk through the Vatican, the mother still talks about the English parks. He still wants to see the whole world and she longs to go home.
