Warum Ich - Wolf D. Kroll plot
“Warum Ich - Wolf D. Kroll” combines documentary elements with narrative power. This anti-war film tells the story of 37-year-old journalist and mother Emma. She is assigned to report on Wolf D. Kroll, who survived the Battle of the Seelow Heights in 1945 as a 17-year-old soldier, one of the last and most brutal battles before the end of World War II. What begins as a journalistic assignment develops for Emma into a personal and emotional journey into the past and present, as her 17-year-old son also wants to become a soldier. The question therefore arises whether history will repeat itself, in times when there are demands that Germany be made ready for war once again.
