Vida a Bordo plot
From the very first shot we travel aboard the freighter Explorador, across the river, past nature reserves, towards the harbor. The cleaning, the cooking, the boredom, the fear, the beauty – our whole life with all its banal and euphoric sides passes by on this visual trip. Uruguayan director Emiliano Mazza De Luca relies on the sensory image and the rich soundscape, and does not need many words. But when they sound, they hit the spot, as in a child's letter telling him how he feels when his father, one of the crew members, is gone for months.
