Verso l'Ignoto plot
The Italian Daniele Nardi has devoted three years of his life to climb the Nanga Parbat (8126 meters) in winter. This documentary by Federico Santini reports on the various attempts Nardi made with others and once even alone on the flanks of one of the most difficult eight thousand meter mountains. He initially follows in the footsteps of Albert Mummery, the Briton who died on the Naked Mountain in 1895. Nardi has to agree with Mummery: "Only in winter on the Nanga Parbat is impossible." In the company of others, the Italian reaches a lot higher.
