Unversöhnliche Erinnerungen plot

A mason and a general face each other in war. In 1933, the young, committed, communist mason Ludwig Stillger has to flee from the Nazis in order not to belong to the first batch of internees who ended up in Dachau, Germany's first concentration camp. He fled to Holland and went with comrades to Spain to fight against Franco in the 1936 civil war.
