Under the Moonlight plot

The ever-cheerful Nur works as a cook at the Islamic boarding school Al Fatah in Yogyakarta, where all adult students are transgender. Here they can live their lives the way they want. How different is this in the hostile outside world, where transgender women are abused because their lives are said to be incompatible with Islam. Posters warn of the 'contagious danger of LGBT'. During their street performances they have to be constantly on the lookout for the police.
