Portrait of the Russian cellist Natalia Gutman. Now 54 years old, the living legend and mother of three children travels all over the world and leaves a deep impression with her penetrating and sober way of playing. Director Eline Flipse highlights the toll of fame, the heavy responsibility for the music and the responsibility as a single mother in a disturbed family with growing children. In addition to interviews and images of rehearsals and performances, the film shows images of Gutman during a trip to Germany and sheds light on her years of ban from playing.
