Two Sisters One Body plot
Mexican Carmen and Lupita Andrade are conjoined twins, omphalopagus twins, which is a very rare condition. A third of these twins die within the first 24 hours after birth. Parents Norma and Victor faced an impossible dilemma: the twins are trying to separate and sacrifice one of the daughters, or let them stay together. They have been living in Connecticut on their humanitarian visas for 17 years now, but the changing political climate is jeopardizing their chances of staying in the US, even though they need high-quality medical care on an ongoing basis. Despite all their insecurities, Carmen and Lupita try to live as normal a life as possible.
