Twilight City plot
A twilight, meditative look at London in the Thatcher era. A fictitious letter and reflections from British cultural critics and activists point to the complex fabric of the city. A daughter's letter to her mother who has returned home, who is considering returning to London after all, forms the fictitious thread in the richly variegated footage of this documentary. Not only in the reflections of the daughter, who is a researcher, but also in those of British cultural critics and activists Homi Bhabha, Paul Gilroy and Gail Lewis, the elements that give shape and meaning to the city and its inhabitants are linked.
