Tussen Mensen plot
Filmmaker Maasja Ooms attends nineteen couples therapy sessions with a couple from Brabant in their sixties. Sensitivities, assumptions and frustrations of what goes on between two people who have been married for 35 years. One wants to be seen by the other and feels rejected, the other is not aware of any harm, everyone experiences their own reality. But in the therapist's chair, away from the daily worries, it is the dynamics that stand out. Between seeking contact and rejection, action and reaction: the fiercer one gets, the more the other withdraws. Until they no longer meet. Recognizable patterns in almost every relationship. Often it takes place below the surface and indoors and now we see it candid, honest and sometimes painful with Ans and Chris.
