“Trolley Times” plot

In September 2020, the Indian government passed three agricultural laws to reform the way farmers market their produce. This led to a series of peaceful protests across the country. Farmers from Punjab and Haryana in particular marched to New Delhi to demand the repeal of the laws. When they were not allowed into the capital, they set up tent camps along the highways, where they camped for more than a year.
