Trobriand Cricket plot

This documentary shows the cultural creativity among the people of the Trobriand Islands of Papua New Guinea. 70 years ago, missionaries introduced cricket. The Trobrianders then ingeniously adapted this sport to the needs of their society. This new ritual has mitigated the impact of colonialism.
