Trainwreck: Poop Cruise plot

It was supposed to be a luxury cruise in 2013: a four-day round trip from Galveston, Texas to Cozumel, Mexico. But for the more than 4,000 passengers and crew on board, reality turned dire. After an engine room fire gutted the ship’s electrical wiring, the ship drifted without power, no refrigeration, no lights, no air conditioning, no way to flush toilets. Soon, raw sewage was leaking throughout the ship, food supplies were running low, and passengers were beginning to riot.

Of course it is horrible to have to go through this, but I found it a pretty annoying documentary. Especially those three women, who found it worst that they could not drink.

Each to their own, but even if everything goes according to plan, I still find it hell....

It is also not the first time that there are problems on a Cruise, family just returned and was seriously ill from the food.

More reality TV. As a "documentary" this was pretty worthless. It has to be mostly about piss and shit, emphasize that there is a lot of sex on board, that 'free booze' and 'buffet à volonté' are the only things that really bring people happiness on a cruise.

I think to myself: let them suffer in their excrement, so that they also understand the consequences of overtourism in which they participate.

Could have been a sharper analysis on the negative impacts of cruises because .. what about waste management on board such a giant? I often hear that they just dump their trash in the sea. And food surplus, waste water from kitchen, showers? What about that? A bigger story about the cruise industry is missing in the margin.

Director James Ross tells an interesting story in this concise documentary, which ultimately worries too much about showing all kinds of useless perspectives of unsympathetic people. Because if Poop Cruise knows how to portray one thing well, it is the convincing senselessness that people can inflict on themselves when a situation does not work out their way. The documentary is entertainingly constructed and uses modern editing techniques, but is otherwise completely empty of content and forgets that it has to convince with something. As a result, this episode of Trainwreck is little more than a concise Wikipedia page that readers will have completely skimmed through within fifteen minutes.
