Tom plot

Tom lives with his father James Ballard on a campsite in the Dolomites; they live on James' allowance. Tom wants nothing more than to climb. Even before he was born, he was already on top of the Eiger. The death of his mother, renowned British alpinist Alison Hargreaves, while descending K2 when he was six, does not diminish his passion for climbing. His life revolves around the mountains. His greatest wish is to climb the north face of the six classic Alpine peaks solo in one winter season. No one has ever done this before and Tom wants to be the first. Together with his father, he goes in their white van to the first peak to realize his dream.
