Through the Wire plot

In 1986, three women were convicted of politically motivated nonviolent crimes. They were transferred to a secret underground prison where they were held in nearly isolated, constantly lit cells, for nearly two years, while being watched 24 hours a day. The women were not imprisoned in Turkey, Iran or Chile, but in Lexington, Kentucky. This documentary is both an account of three uncompromising women who would not renounce their political affiliations and a chilling revelation of the secret facility in which they were imprisoned.
