On February 7, 2009, a devastating bushfire swept through the Australian state of Victoria, killing 173. The tiny village community of Strathewen was the hardest hit. This place was renamed 'The Valley of Death' in the papers a day later. Filmmaker Celeste Geer survived the disaster and decided for two years to record how her family and her fellow villagers try to pick up their lives again.
