The Willmar 8 plot

The documentary 'The Willmar 8' tells the story of female union members from a small Minnesota town who started the first ever bank strike in December 1979. All eight members of the Willmar Bank Employees Association started their protest against sexual discrimination at work. The strike lasted for two years and the women inadvertently became icons in the women's movement of the time.
