The Rwandan Night plot

In 1994, Rwandan Hutus massacred nearly a million Tutsis and moderate Hutus in just a hundred days. Among the victims of the Rwandan genocide were the parents and many relatives of documentary filmmaker Gilbert Ndahaya. In The Rwandan Night, the first part of an intended triptych about the Rwandan genocide, Ndahyo searches for a dialogue between survivors and those who try to interpret the genocide in a broader context. Fragments of animatedly filmed remembrance meetings with horrifying testimonies of relatives are interspersed with interviews with scientists.
