The Murder List plot

In May 2008 Joseph Naso is arrested when he wants to walk out of a supermarket with a shopping cart full of drinks and groceries, for which he eventually gets a year's probation. In February 2010, he was assigned to another probation officer, who visited him unannounced on April 13 of that year at his home in Reno, Nevada for a routine checkup. Joseph is uncooperative and when a bullet and a circled ad for the sale of a matching firearm are also found, he is arrested for violating his probation. Furthermore, strange and suspicious cases are found, including a list with the names of ten women and vague locations. Slowly but surely it becomes clear what Joseph Naso has been able to do almost undisturbed for decades.
