The Mooting Competition plot
The best law students from many countries in Africa compete in the annual African Human Rights Moot Court Competition. This time the game is Botswana. Who is the best advocate? They act in fictional cases, alternately accusing and defending. This year's focus is on refugees and human rights. No less than a quarter of all refugees in the world are in Africa. During the preparation and the competition itself we get to know some participants from Uganda, South Africa, Kenya and Egypt and their background and motivation. Among them is an LGBT activist who is himself the son of a refugee and a student from a deprived neighborhood that is brimming with ambition.
