The Hollywood Complex plot

Documentary about Hollywood's annual children's casting season. Each spring, Hollywood is flooded with a specific type of immigrant: children. Thousands of would-be child actors come to the mecca of the American film industry to try their luck during 'pilot season', the traditional audition period for new television series. But unlike the many adult actors, the children also bring their whole family with them. Many of them settle temporarily in Oakwood, a residence complex for Hollywood's rapidly fluctuating showbiz population. We follow some of those newly arrived stars-to-be through an entire casting season as they overcome personal and professional obstacles in their quest for their own American dream.
