The Game (Das Spiel) plot

A referee must stay sharp for 90 minutes non-stop, be everywhere and see everything. His decisions are under magnifying glass, from commentators, from players who challenge every whistle as an injustice, and from the many-headed monster called 'audience'. He is under high voltage, and then also has to trot about eleven kilometers across the field.
