The Castle plot

An indestructible dream castle: that's how 11-year-old Angelo, Mery, and Rosy see their self-built house in the ruins of a daycare center in Danisinni, a suburb of Palermo. The directors bring their camera to the children's eye level, as they transform the ruins into their playground. While Angelo, Mery, and Rosy play house and clean and renovate their new castle, they share stories about their difficult backgrounds and remind each other not to make the same mistakes as their parents.
